NO WIN, NO FEE

What is a Kidney Injury
claim?

The kidneys, which are two bean shaped organs, help to keep your blood clean; they filter out extra water and waste from your blood and make urine. If your kidneys are damaged and appropriate treatment is not provided in a timely manner, this may result in irreversible impaired function, in which they are no longer able to filter the blood in the way that they should. This is known as a chronic kidney injury.

Not all kidney injuries will be due to negligence but a proportion of those who suffer kidney injuries will have suffered avoidable harm due to failings in the medical care received. Delay in diagnosis or mismanagement of kidney conditions can have catastrophic consequences, resulting in permanent disability requiring substantial care, support and the need for treatment such as dialysis or kidney transplant. Sadly, in some instances, such delays can result in death which would have been avoidable.

    Making a kidney injury claim

We can discuss your case with a free initial consultation to understand your concerns, which may include taking forward your claim on a ‘NO WIN NO FEE’ basis.

We work on a conditional fee basis, ensuring you don’t have to worry about legal costs if your claim is unsuccessful.

Claims can be pursued regarding care from primary care practitioners, such as GPs, nurses and pharmacists, and care in a hospital setting, such as in A&E.

Our specialist team can support you with bringing a claim and in cases where treatment and care are required, we will endeavour to secure early compensation payments, known as interim payments, to assist with funding this, above and beyond that which is available on the NHS.

If a loved one has died as a result of negligent medical care, the next of kin can bring a claim both on both behalf of the estate of the Deceased and on behalf of those who were dependant on the Deceased, both financially and in respect of the things that they would do. In addition, claims can be pursued under the Human Rights Act, in order to pursue the maximum amount of compensation.
