The wonderful team in the Compensation Department have today held a coffee morning to show their support and to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

There are more than 3 million people in the UK living with cancer and 360,000 people are diagnosed with cancer every year. Our lives are increasingly touched by cancer, whether it is our own experience or that of a loved one, and we recognise the importance of people living with cancer having access to physical, emotional and financial support.

Organisations such as Macmillan provide a crucial support network for those living with cancer. Macmillan’s aim is to help people live well with and beyond cancer, whether this be in respect of Macmillan Nurses and Support Workers, needs assessments, emergency grants, benefits or access to the Macmillan Support Line.

Macmillan Cancer Support is 98% funded by voluntary donations and through their donations, they help to provide essential services, care and guidance to people affected by cancer. As of 2023, the supporters of Macmillan had raised £226.8 million and we are proud to be among those who are proud to support Macmillan.

Our Star Bakers in the Compensation Team have spent many hours in the kitchen over the past few days and we are sure you will agree that our Compensation Team are giving the Great British Bake Off a run for its money with their brilliant bakes. The running total so far today from the coffee morning is just short of £300.00, which we think is amazing.
