For more than 10 years, Williamsons Solicitors has proudly played an active role in supporting the High Sheriff, a prestigious independent Royal Appointment committed to serving the Crown, the judiciary, and key community organisations.

At the heart of this support is Hugo Moore, Solicitor in our Private Client Department, who has served as Undersheriff since 2020. Working closely with the current High Sheriff, Colonel Chris Henson, Hugo has contributed to a wide range of duties, including organising the Declaration Ceremony, coordinating the Annual Legal Service, and assisting with the High Sheriff’s Award Ceremony. His dedication has also seen him work alongside previous High Sheriffs, Richard Shepardson, Jackie Bowes, and Tina Cerutti.

Before Hugo’s tenure, Sarah Clubley, a Director at Williamsons, served as Undersheriff from 2014-2020. During this time, her work supported several High Sheriffs, including Gail Mettyear, Jim Dick, Gill Drury, Thomas Martin, Andrew Horncastle, and Sue Stephenson.

This continuity underscores our unwavering commitment to upholding traditional values and strengthening ties between key institutions and the local voluntary sector.
