Princess Royal recently joined the Sailors’ Children’s Society in a Royal thank-you to business partners behind nationwide family support programme.

Williamsons Solicitors has been a keen supporter of the charity for many years and so were delighted to be invited along with other dedicated partners to a Royal presentation as a thank you for their long-standing support.

Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, who has served as Patron of the Society since 2003 and renewed that status last year, was the guest of honour at Trinity House in Hull, where she presented certificates and plaques to recognise the commitment and achievements of individuals and organisations.

Among the recipients was our very own, long-standing supporter and a vice president of the charity, Bill Waddington, who was presented with special lifetime contribution award.

Williamsons Solicitors continues to be a main sponsor of the charity’s annual Sportsman’s Lunch, this year again held in October at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Hull.

Attended by over 700 business people, this year saw a milestone of over £100,000 raised for the first time to help the charity support disadvantaged children and families of seafarers, which it has been doing for more than 200 years.
