Alison became a full member of STEP following completion of the STEP Diploma in February 2025

Alison joined Williamsons in 2001 as a legal secretary in the Family Department. A desire for change and an interest in Wills and Probate saw her move to the Private Client department in 2013. Alison progressed to the role of Paralegal within the department due to a keen interest in this area of law.

Since joining the Private Client team Alison embarked upon the STEP accreditation programme in 2018 and has successfully completed the STEP Diploma incorporating the STEP Certificate in Trusts and Estates and STEP Advanced Certificates in Will Preparation, Administration of Estates, Advising Vulnerable Clients and Taxation of Trusts and Estates.  She has experience in dealing with the Administration of Estates and extracting Grant of Probate, applications to the Court of Protection, Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorneys.

Alison enjoys meeting a wide variety of clients and prides herself on her friendly and approachable manner and endeavours to ensure an empathetic approach with her clients who are often going through a stressful and upsetting time.

Away from work Alison enjoys time with her family often on regular caravanning weekends and touring the country. She enjoys reading, walking and trips to music events and the theatre.
